Chapter 10: this is like pt.1

*Kim

All eyes were on me waiting for me to open up.
"First I wanna say I love you" I stroked her now black hair
"love you too mommy" she smiled
"Okay that night when you left was not suppose to happen and for that I'm sorry" I started
"....mommy was in a bad place it started shortly after your father and I broke up and you were born" I confessed
"...when you left" I turned to Nasir
"I was pregnant with Leigh when that big fight you and I had, I just didn't know" I felt the tears build up
*Nasir

Sitting here listening to Kim tell us her whole life story, brought back so much feelings I've been hiding.
I didn't know she was pregnant that night and now I feel 10x worst.
"So after I found out that I was having a baby and you were climbing up the charts I didn't wanna hold you back" she spoke calmly
"But still we could have took care of her TOGETHER" I told her
"I know" she said lowly
"...I just wanted you to have the success you deserve" she looked down
"But I rather had you and Leigh" I told her speaking truthfully
"Really?" she questioned
"Yes I was madly in love with you, and I wanted a family" I poured my heart out
She just looked at me, at the same time as Leigh.
"And I'm sorry I wasn't there when you need me, and you too" I looked at Leigh.
"Your here now papa" Leigh got up and hugged me.
"Yea your here now" Kim came in the hug
Just then Eva came walking through the door. Coming to a stop when she seen everyone.
*Eva

I didn't expect to see Kim here, hugging Nasir and Leigh so I was taking back.
"Well hello" I forced myself to smile
"Hey babe" Nasir broke from the hug to give me a kiss
"Him I'm Kim" she extended her hand
"Nice to meet you I'm Eva" I shook her hand then hugging my baby girl Leigh I really do love her, like she came from me.
"How was your day?" I asked her still hold her
"Good how was your day?" she smiled up at me
"Long but you know how I do" I laughed
"Indeed I do" she kissed my cheek
"So what do you guys want for dinner?" I asked turning to Kim and Nasir
"Iono" He said lowly
"Kim any suggestion?" I smiled at her
"um iono but if you need any help I will love to" she smiled back
"What you want to eat baby girl" I turned to Leigh
"Um so salmon" she laughed
"Salmon it is then" I went towards the kitchen
"Thank yoooouuu" Leigh sung out
"It's all for you love" I took a pot out and start cooking.
By all means I want Leigh to enjoy this time with her mother, I don't have anything to worry about simply because I have Nasir.
*Nasir


Having my girlfriend and ex girlfriend
In the same house is kinda weird.
"You okay babe?" Eva kissed me bringing me back from my thoughts
"Yea I'm good" I spoke
"Okay dinner will be ready in a few" She smiled, I swear I love this women. I probably wouldn't be where I am without her, but at the same time Kim helped set that up.
I looked at Leigh who was sitting close to Kim watching a movie big smiled on their face, a beautiful sight to see.
I went to my office to get some letters that I was suppose to send to Kim, but never got the nerve to do it.
*Graham

I was sitting in my room chilling, thinking about Leigh. I don't like the fact that she's in love with old dude. I know I have Teah, but I came to terms that she's really here for me. I pulled myself up off my bed going to my closet to get a sweat shirt and a pair of J's.
I grabbed my phone and keys and headed to my car.

I found myself parked out front of her house.
I got out and went to knock on her door. Ms. Eva answered.
"Hi honey" she smiled
"hi can I speak to Leigh" I asked
"yea sure can honey let me go get her" she smiled
A few moments later Leigh came back out with one of my hoodies clung to her body.
"Wassup?" she smiled
"Hey" I pulled her into a hug
"What's going on?" she smiled
"Nuh just was thinking about you" I told her, which was true.
"I been thinking bout you ooo noo" she sung smiling.
"You crazy" I sat on the steps
"Oh yes guess what? My mom is here" she smiled really big
"really I'm happy for you" I put my arm around her
"Yea I'm really happy she's here, and to have Mikey here too is great like old times" I respect that she loves him,but  I wanna be the one she's in love with call me selfish but it's true.
"That's good" I forced a smile on my face
"You no happy Grammy" She grabbed my check's
"Yea I'm real happy for you love" I smiled for real this time
"thank you what's going on in your world?" she put her head in her hands
"Nothing much work" I told her
"You should eat with us" she pointed out
"Hecks yea if mama cooking" I joked
"Your so fat" she poked me
"A I work out" I poked her back
"I bet" She covered up her smile
"Why do you do that?" I pulled her hand away from her mouth
"Cause iono" She smiled again
"Well don't you cute" I told her
"Well thank you Mr. Graham" she laid her head on my chest tracing the letters on my sweat shirt.
"Where's Micheal" I asked almost scared of the answer
"He's on his way real quick" she closed her eyes
"Oh" I said simply she looked up at me
"What's wrong?" She asked
Leigh and I been through this before I've confessed my feelings millions of times to her, she know how I feel.
"Nothing"I looked down at my shoes
Leigh and I aren't a couple all though I want to be I respect her wishes, even if I don't agree with it, I respect it.
"Don't act like that towards me please babe" she wrapped her arms around my waist
"I'm not" I said pulling her closer
"Good cause you know I love you"
"I know" I said
"You broke up with Teah yet?" She questioned
That's the thing I wanna be with Leigh, but Teah don't wanna break up.
"Naw" I said knowing that we were about to fight.
She freed her arms from around me
"And why not?" She asked with angry clearly in her voice
"Have you broken up with Micheal yet?" I shot back
"Now you know I didn't so why would you even ask?!" she yelled looking up at me
"yea so why you questioning me!" I yelled back
"Cause you wanna pulled out your heart to me, but still have a girl" Her eyes changed from blue to gray
"And you did the same so you ain't no better" I told her
She rolled her eyes "I'm not going there with you, my mothers here and I just don't care" She said trying not to care
"Ard then" I proceeded to get up
"Where are you going" She jumped up
"Home" I told her simply
"But why" She yelled
"Cause I'm tired of going back and forth with you, of pulling my heart out only for you to tell me you feel the same but still be with old dude" I told her calmly
"But.......but I do feel the same" She cried pulling on my arm
"No you don't" I pulled my arm back
"I do tho" her tears streaming down her face
Any other time I would care about her crying, but I'm tired of her playing with my heart, my heart is crying.
I tried walking to my car but she kept pulling my arm.
'Graham stop" She kept yelling
"What Leigh" I turned to her
"Stop, STOP I'm sorry" she pulled and hugged on me, I didn't hug her back.
"Please Graham?!" she said into my chest
I wrapped my arms around her feeling my sweat shirt shocked from her tears
"Just come in" she looked up at me
I just stood their thinking for a minute before walking up the steps with her.
We walked right up the steps because the adults were in the backyard.
She opened her door pulling me to her bed laying her head on my chest.
"Are you still mad?" she said lowly
I didn't say anything I just stayed quite.
"Graham I'm sorry" She said again
"I'm not mad" I told her
She looked up at me to see if I was lying.
"I love you" She closed her eyes laying her head back on my chest
"Love you too" I held her tighter

chapter 9: Thngs change

Ever heard of the saying "if loving you is wrong i don't wanna be right"
I feel like that quote is the story of my life now. I have Eva the woman who's been holding me down, for almost a year now; and then I have Kim who's held my heart down since I laid eyes no her back in high school. Now I know some of y'all are thinking that I should stay with Eva, but Kim has a peace of me that no other woman can compete with and that's my first born, my babygirl.
And i sit back and think about how could I've missed so much of something so wonderful in my OWN life?!
I have all this money and success, but at one time had no one to share it with, cause I lowkey messed my OWN relationship up. And just right when I wanted to give up on music something that keep sane this pretty woman walked over to me and said
"you have way too many people looking up to you to change the whole rap game to quit" she smiled
And a year later she's been holding me down ever since.
But there were them nights when Kim would hold me down when i didn't have a dime! She would let me crash at her place, cook, all on top of going to school. Man i was crazy about Kim.
We've dated for about 5 years, before she up and left; well after I scared her off. We were fighting about me leaving  Miami to come back home to jump start my rapping career.
(flash back)
"why do you have to go?" she begged and pleaded
"I've told you before Kim, I have to go if you want to buy all these nice things" I told her 3 times
She sighed and took her earrings off
"I don't understand why" she began to cry
"baby I'm doing this for you... Us" I held her hand
"no your not your doing it for you!" she yelled in my face taking her hand from mine
"are you for real Yo Kim your tripping" i replied backing up
"I'm tripping Nasir your the one leaving ME, but I'm tripping" she said in a mocking tone
I kissed my lips "you always do that, for once can you be happy for me!" I yelled
Kim always supported my rapping career, so iono she's acting brand new.
"I am happy for you Nasir, but what about us" she pointed between her and myself
"Cone to with me, cone to New York" i stepped closer
She shook her head left to right
"no you know i would, but i have school and my mother to take care of" she went on and on
Same old Kim just a different day!
"Ard Kim do what you want, leave, stay, support me, don't support me I don't care" i waved my hands defeated just giving this had been the 4th time we fought this week I'm tired of not having people not in my coiner but they continue to say "yo Nas you nice son" or "you got talent fam" but cant support me and Kim just baling on me just made me snap!
"fine" she said lowly packing her things, I watched her while everything turned into a blur
"you take care of your self, i know your going to be some big time rapper" she smiled kissing me ever so softly before speaking again
"I Love you Nasir Jones and don't ever think I don't" she kissed my check as I held her onto my arms feeling like I'm loosing half of me when she walks out this door.
"Kim I'm saying i love you too" i said back in a tone that matched hers
"I know you do now go chase your dream" she smiled
"yo don't ever take that off" i pointed to the ring on her ring finger that i gave her we agreed when we were don't ready we would tell our parents
"you know i wont" she smiled again
(End of flash back)
"dad it's raining super hard outside can i come in here" kyleigh poked her head into the office
"yea come on in" i laughed girl just like her mother, Kim used to be scared of the rain too
She came and sat on the desk with her feet to her chest looking out the huge window
"whats on you mind?" I asked her
"nothing just wanted to come with you" she smiled
"well thank you my darling" i put on a goofy face
"wow dad" when those words left her mouth it instantly put a smile on my face
"what you do today?" i asked her turning the lamp on
"homework,script,and dance practice" she sounded tired
"oh bust you" I smiled
"what you do watch ENPS?" She asked smartly
"No smart I went to the studio then I was a meeting with interscope all day" i yawned
"Is everything okay?" she asked concerned
"yea they was just telling me that Nicki Minaj wanna work with me" i watch her face lite up
"for real daddy that's super cool" she moved all around
"you think I should do it?"
"yes Nicki's hot and it will put you back on the map" she smiled
"I think i will" i smiled too
"I'm proud if you dad"
"thank you" i kissed her forehead
"i love you" she laughed
"love you too" i made another goody face
I guess things do change, for example my relationship with my daughter change, and my career. Cant complain.
*Kim

"ma'am is everything okay?" the flight attendant asked
"yes thank you" i smiled at her
I'm going to go see about my baby, I got in contact with one of Nisir's body guard I think. Iono I just know his name is Meek. But he told me that he's in New York and he seen Leigh. So I plan on going up there to talk to my love, to let her know that i care, and I always cared.

I got off the plane looking for a taxi.
"where to ma'am?" the man asked me
"Brooklyn" i replied handing  him the paper where I wrote Nasir's address on it.
"alrite we'll be there in about 15 unless theres traffic" he laughed a little to himself
I sat back resting my head on the head rest think what have i got myself into?!
As we get closer and closer to his house I feel those old feelings from the last time i spoke to him come back. Most importantly i feel all the troubles I've caused Ky.
We're here" I taxi drives said snapping me out of my oceans of thoughts.
"Thanks" I said lowly taking out $50
"your total is $45" he turned to me i quickly handed him the money and pulled my duffel bag out walking up to the gate
Pressing the button awaiting for him or someone to speak
"yo" i heard but i already know his voice he's so basic lolx
"um I'm looking for Nasir" my voice cracked a little
"who this" he asked
"Kim" i spoke softly but still so he could hear it was quite for a while before I heard a clicking noise and the bug gates ahead of me open. today is the day i face my fears and grow up. I guess things do change.
*kyleigh


My dad and i was chilling in the office watching the movie "big". When someone buzzed in.
"wonder who that is" he said getting up from the sofa
"I'll be back babygirl" he said walking out. A few minutes later he walked back into the room with the blankest look on his face he looked flushed. I wonder what's up.
"You good?" I asked
"huh" he asked still standing at the door
"ARE.YOU.OKAY" I asked him again
"um somebody here foe you" he looked at the ground
"who Micheal?" I asked
"no your moms" he said lowly
I almost jumped out of my skin when he said that, he stepped to the side and there stood my mother. She looked good her hair was long like i remember and he skin was flawless.
"momma" i said above a whisper feeling the tear fill up in my eyes.
"hi babygirl" she even spoke the same, he soft tone brought me back to the times she would read to me.
Iono what was going on,but i felt myself walking over to her wrapping my arms tightly around her neck.
"I've missed you and i was starting to think you forgot about me" the tears started pouring out of my eyes.
*Kim

"How could I get a forget about you, y first born" i whipped her tears as my own filled my eyes.
"really?" she looked up at me
"I Love you far to much to forget" i kissed her forehead
"let's go into the living room " Nas said walking to the door of what I come to think of his office
We walked into the living room
"you want something to drink mom" Leigh asked me
"no thank you baby" I smiled at her
"Well wassup with you" she sat on my lap
"I came here to explain my story" I said all eyes were on me here's my chance

chapter 8: together

*Kyleigh

"Leigh you look fine no need to change your beautiful" She smiled at me
"But mommy I don't like it" I pointed down at the dress I had to wear for my 8th grade dance
"Will some jewelry make you like it" She walked over to her jewelry box pulling out my favorite necklace.
"There" she put it around my neck
"Are you sure mom" I looked down at it
"Yes I'm sure it looks better on you then me" She smiled pulling my hair up into a neat bun
"Thank you mom I love it" I leaned up to kiss her
"And I love you" she kissed my check

I opened my eyes slowly looking around my room. I threw my feet off the side of my bed walking into the bathroom.
Monday's don't you just love them?...O.o
I took a quick shower, and combed my hair down, I think I'm going to get this color out of my head. I got dressed, and headed down stairs. No one was up so I just took it as grab something a GO. Nasir been pretty distant lately so I just give him his time to himself
*Nasir

I've been trying to look for Kim for some time now. Nothing is making since to me, How could you leave your child to roam the streets? All I see when I look at Leigh is her mother when she was younger. Kim was always very independent person. Growing up when we first started dating she would always get mad at me when I paid for things.. It was cute. The fact that I loved Kim, and I still do but that we have a kid together something that's so beautiful, can turn into something so ugly like no being able to find her or to be in her life like she needs to be. In any way shape or form am I trying to replace Kyleigh's mother with Eva. More than anything I want Kim and I to raise Leigh together. Being that I've missed so many years already.
Eva and I had been doing some talking about going to Miami to search for her, but iono how Leigh would feel about that. She already been though too much and I ain't gonna put my seed through anymore.
*Kim

I've been lost without Kyleigh being here with me. I shouldn't have scared her off, I wasn't thinking at all. I've been spending all this time hating myself for letting her leave, Lord knows where she is, I just hope she's safe.
It's been long over do, I'm going to find my baby and bring her back home. To something we once had, but now it's a place with a bed, broken glass, and our memoirs of what use to be.
If I know Kyleigh like I think I do, I know who ever she's with she giving them trouble cause deep down she wants to be with her mama, I don't blame her I want my baby more than any drug at this point. I just hope she understand that I was in a bad place, but that things can get better too. When she left that was a wake up call for me to get my stuff together and NOW. I've been going to rehab changing for the better....my daughter. 17 years old and she dealt with more than I have in my whole life. I remember when her father use to tell me that our kids would be a mixture of us both.
my wanting to be on my own, and his "coolness" he would put it.
Deep down I miss him too, and I resent myself from keeping him from her, but once again I was in a bad place I didn't care for anyone but myself. Now I don't want you to judge me and think I've been like this my whole life, it's something that didn't take that long to take to, but much longer to kick. I love my baby more than anything in live, I'm just a mother that happened to make a dumb decision. I just hope I get my chance again....to be back in her life to make that beautiful smile reappear. I just wish that Nasir and I could to that together.

Chapter 7: Is this love?

*Kyleigh

it's been 2 days since Mikey and i kissed, and he's been with me everyday now. He's been helping me with school and my work, he's just been there for me and that's what i needed. My dad even liked Mikey along with Eva they even invited him for dinner every night.
"Yo what you doing today?" Dai asked
"Iono maybe hanging out with Mikey tonight" i smiled
"Who's this Mikey kid? My bestie has a bf?" she laughed
i thought about it for a moment Mikey and i aren't dating, and i thought maybe me kissing him would make it weired between us but i didn't it made us closer, he tells me everything now back how it use to be.
"That must a yes being it took you too long to answer" she yelled knocking me out my oceans of thoughts
"No that's just a really close friend" i smiled
"That you like" she laughed
"Shut up and help me get ready Mike just texted me saying he taking me out to a nice place to eat"
"Ard"
i showered and curled my hot mess of a head. i put my little but make up on before slipping into my clothes, which were some black skinnies with a black and white stripped half sleeved shirt with a black blazer and brown boots with a bag to match with some nude lip gloss. Nothing too much but still classy, my mama always told me keep it classy never trashy.

I texted Mikey that i was ready. I let Dai out looking in the mirror in front of the door.

"Well don't you look beautiful babygirl" Nasir spoke making me jump

"Thank you" i laughed a little

"Where you going" he smiled already knowing the answer to that question because Mikey asked if her could take me out.  

"Out with Mikey" i turned back to the mirror

"Well you two have fun, you need money" he asked

"No Mikey won't let me pay for anything" i laughed a little

"Smart kid" he winked and went to answer the door, which was Eva and her smiling face

"Hey baby" they kissed

i turned my face up at them "Um eww pops don't be kissing all over my future mother" i laughed looking at my phone

"A i got game" he smiled

"And what game is that what kind you got" Eva nudged me laughing

"I got all the game in the world" he held his hands out

Eva and i laughed as he tried to convince us more like convince himself he had game.

"Well if my Kyleigh ain't looking pretty" Eva smiled at me through the mirror

"Thank you"

"Plans with Michael" she smiled

"Yes"

pops came up and kissed Eva gaining with her laughing i swear they acted like teenagers sometimes

"Eww do y'all think y'all can at least stop making out for at least 1 sec" i laughed texting the hommie Ron

"Thank ain't making out that's love" Pops smiled and winking at Eva

"Well take y'all love somewhere else cause it ain't wanted here" i laughed again

"A Leigh that's cold" Pops laughed

i waved him off as someone knocked on the door i felt my tummy do a flip i don't know why, but i never felt like that around Mikey.

Pops opened the door and Mike stepped in looking very handsome i must say

as soon as he stepped closer his gaze fell on me

"Oh snap look at you Le" he smiled

"You don't look to bad yourself" i hugged him

"Where you guys going tonight" Pops asked smiling giving Mikey a manly hug

"To a little cafe downtown tonight its where they have talent night" he smiled at me

"Well you kids have fun and..." he started

"And Leigh don't stay out too late" i finished for him

Hi slips curled into a smile "I'm glad you know"

"Leave them alone y'all babies have fun now you hear" Eva pushed pops out the way

"Bye guys" Mike opened the door for me

"Bye pops and Eva" i smiled before leaving

 we made it to Mikey's new lanbo, we drove and told each other about our days.

"I'm glad i get to chill with you, they been working me hard" he said looking at me for a second

"Well tell b and them to stop working you so hard" i fixed his shirt

"Well that's all i can do while i wait for you to get out of school or work" he stopped

"Oh I'm sorry" i said lowly

"Naa it's cool, but what you do today" he asked fixing a fly away hair

"Nothing pick up my check and hanging out with Dashia" i smiled

"Oh sounds fun" he pulled off

"She wants to meet you soo bad" i laughed

he laughed a little "Why don't you let me meet your other friends Le"

"Iono" i said not really knowing why

"What you scared imma act up" he laughed

Which he is known for back home if he didn't like a certain person he would spot bull crap a mile away and be right about it. But that's not why

"No i just want you to myself" i smiled innocently

he looked over at me "Oh is that right"

i nodded while he leaned in and pecked my lips quickly

we pulled up in font of a homey looking cafe, he opened the car door for me while we made our way in.

"Table for 2 please" he said to this girl that look like i seen her before

"Ard" she said popping her gum motioning us to a table

there is where i got better lighting and that's when BAM it hit me, it was Teah, Nia something like that Graham's girl the one that i smacked!

i started to laugh, Mike looked at me "You cool" he asked

i looked back at her again she looked soo stupid "YUP couldn't be better" i grinned  

we took a seat at the table "What y'all want to drink?" she asked rolling her eyes

"Wow can we get someone else to assist us" i looked at her

she looked me dead in my eyes "It ain't no one other than me"

"Well than act like you wanna serve us" i looked at her then Mikey

he just smiled shaking his head.

"What can i get you guys to drink?" she asked a lot better

"Well for me may i get an ice tea" i looked through the menu

"And I'll have the same" Mikey same

"Coming up" she walked away

"My baby Le BANGZ" Mikey laughed

"I'm not tho i just don't like her" i said not one care was given

"Why" he laughed

"Cause she's rude and she tried to check me, but she can't put me in my place" i said getting heated

"Don't act up Le" he raised his eyebrow

she came back with our drinks "Are you guys ready to order?" she smiled

"I think i want a salmon plate" i said handing her the menu

"And for me i want some steak" Mikey handed it to her

she walked away giving Mikey and i some time

"So i want you to stay with me tonight" He smiled cutely

I thought about it for awhile Iono if pops will let me do that but then again i am 17.

"Iono let me check with my pops" i smiled

"Ard" he smiled

After eating we got some cake and ice cream playing like old times.

"Yo i wanna go see Chris in concert" i laughed

he looked at me like yea right face

"Man you don't need him" he laughed eating some of my ice cream

*Michael

 Le is crazy for Chris Brown why iono if i had blond hair will girls flock to me?

"Don't come for my baby" she looked at me like i had 5 heads

"Man what ever ain't no body thinking about him" i rolled my eyes

"So if not why you mad tho" she grabbed my spoon getting some of my ice cream

"I'm not tho cause you right here with me, and not him" i laughed

"So you think" she rolled her eyes

"Why you all the way over there" i asked she was across the table but i wanted her to be under me

"Iono" she smiled trying to hide her blush

"Come" i patted the spot next to me, she did what she was told sitting next to me

"Don't hide your blush it's cute" I pick her chin up

"You soo sweet to me" she giggled

"That's cause i love you" i kissed her

 "Hey you let me ask you something" she said in a small voice

i gave her all my attention "Shoot" i smiled

"What are we" she said turning to me

"Well your mine" i smiled

"What you mean?" she asked unsure

"I want you to be my girl" i grabbed her hands

she just looked into my eyes trying to see if i was telling the truth

"Are you for real?" she asked

"Yes Le you know i love you so let's not waste time" i smiled

"Okay Mikey i will be your girl" i bent down to kiss her but that waiter chick came

"Do you want the check" she asked

i nodded my head telling her yea looking back down at Le

i watched as she played Temple run and FAILING every time but she tried

the girl came back with the check and i paid gathering Le's stuff along with mine

the car ride to her house was silent mostly because she had falling asleep

"Babe get up" i messed with her nose

"STOP Michael" she slapped my hand away

i laughed at how for real she is when it comes to her sleep

"We at your house" i did it again

"I don't wanna go home" she whinnied

"Well let's go tell your pops that" i said unbuckling her seat belt

"Fine" she mumbled

She unlocked the door "Pops" she yelled

"Yes sir" he answered back in the living room it looked like he was having a party

"I wanna go over Mikey's house" she looked at him

"Don't you have school tomorrow then work" he asked

"Yea but..." she looked at me for help

"I will take her sir" i said letting my voice deepen

he looked at me then at Le "I trust you, but call me as soon as y'all get there and babygirl text me when you get to school and work" he said stern

"Thanks pops" she kissed him check

"Sup Meek" she fist bumped Meek

and then hugged DJ drama, i said my hello's and thank yous and then went upstairs to help her pack

*Leigh

We've just pulled up in front of Mikey's condo in down town New York. 

 "Where's the bathroom" i asked turning to him
"To your left down the hall" he smiled handing me my bag
i mad my way down there to see this big bathroom, Mikey did a nice job picking places

i showered washing the soap on my body about 3 times before stepping out wiping the mirror down so i could see my reflection. i put my bath and body works lotion on and then slipped into some night clothes. which were a pair of pink zebra print shorts with a pink and black tank along with some socks that a MUST lol

After cleaning my mess up in the bathroom i went back into the living to find Mikey typing his life away. so i cleared my throat, he looked up smiling "I'm sorry" he got up then kissed my forehead
"Chill lo que es mío es tuyo" (What's mine is yours)
And with that he went into the bathroom, i sat on the sofa texting my pops
Me: Pops where here just got out the shower
it was only 8:30 so i wasn't that sleepy, thanks to that how water. With in seconds he texted back
Pops:): okay have a good night and don't stay up too late
Me: shouldn't i be telling you that your the one with the meeting
Pops:): I'm grown
me: so your point 
i texted him just so he could get mad he always use that and it was OD tugging at my life
Pops:): my point is that I'm grown and i can do what i wanna haha :p
me: WOW pops you wont be saying that when that mean head ache come for your life in the morning who's gonna be laughing then.... ME :p
Dashia joined in on the text fest i was having

to dashia bear: great most fun i had in a while
from pops: Yea yea whatever have a good night love you

and with that it was just me and dashia talking boy oh boy how i love her she was a Brooklyn G
Dashia bear: oh I'm glad when will i meet this kid
me: tomorrow he's tacking me to school
Dahia bear: I'm too into my emotions right now
Someone cleared their throat i looked up to see Mikey standing there smiling like the cool aid guy
"Well looks who texting away now" he sat next to me "I'm sorry" i said sending dai a good night text and saying I'll see her later.
"You ready for bed" he asked
i nodded my head up and down he helped me up showing me to his room

"Wow look at this" i jumped on the bed
"And where will you sleep" i asked finally stop jumping
"In the living room enjoy" he smiled
"Thanks and good night" i hugged him
"Let me tuck you in" he laughed "Ard" i agreed
he pick me up and carried me to the bed placing me in the center tucking both sides of the blankets under my arms kissing my fore head "Good night" he smiled
"Good nite Mikey"
"... Love you" i said in a small tone before he could reach the door he turned around on his heels
"Love you too Le and don't you forget it" he said making me laugh
He cut the lights and with in seconds was out and when i say out i mean DEAD to the world
letting my mind run wild because tomorrow shall be something i hope y'all got tickets!!!

chapter 6: smile

 *Michael 

I always told Le i loved her, but i don't think she knew i meant it, i loved her the same i love my mama. As i was thinking it hit me why are we at Nas house?
"Le baby why are we at Nas's house?" i asked her, she was so into her book
"Oh um that's my dad" she said lowly
i nodded my head trying to wrap me head around all of this, but I'm more that happy for her if he takes care of her, which I'm pretty sure he does.
"Oh" i smiled
"You not mad?" she asked putting the book down fully
"Why would i be mad, he is watching out for you right" i asked with my eyebrows raised
she nodded her head up and down "Then there's no reason for me to be mad" i pulled her to me again.
she rested her head on my chest while i played in her hair, for some reason i feel like she's not happy i know Le been knowing her almost my whole life the simple things matter to her she's not into all the flashy stuff so I'm wondering how she feels about all of this.
"Yo Le can i ask you something?" i asked still playing in her hair
"Anything Mikey you know that" she gave me a small smile
"How do you like it here" she lifted her head up so she can look at me it took her some time to answer.
"It bets being where I'm nit wanted i tell you that much" she said kinda angry
"Your mother most def wanted you she just has a addiction she can't kick right now yo" I let my New York accent flow
she looked away kinda waving me off i pulled her face back to mine "Yo Le listen to me" i said getting her to look at me
"What Mikey" she finally did look up at me
"You know your mother loves you right" i said lowly
she looked into my eyes with a mixture of sadness and wanting to be held
"Yea i do" she spoke
"And you know i do too right" i smiled licking my lips
she smiled hard "Yea i know YOU do"
"I'm glad you do babe" i poked her back
"STOP that tickles" she slapped my hand way
"Oh really" i asked doing it again until she was in tears smiling hard with her dimples in full affect
i stopped looking at her beauty "What" she asked whipping her eyes
"Nothing your just beautiful" i smiled
she blushed "Well g aren't you sweet" she laughed
"I try" i laughed at how she said it
"Why are you so sweet Mikey?" she asked calling me the nick name she gave me when she first met me, cause her Spanish accent would always come out when ever she said it so she called me Mikey.
"Cause i eat a lot of candy" i smiled sweetly at her
she looked at me for a moment and then we both busted out laughing "I guess" she smiled again with dimples in her check.
"Don't HATE" i move my snapback around a little
"Boy PLEASE" she waved me off again
 i just kissed her check i really do love Le and i wanted her to know that
"Thank you" she smiled again
"What for the kiss" i moved closer to her
"For that too but for making me smile" she kissed my lips

I've been looking for Kim non-stop last night at dinner i almost slipped up and said something but i don't wanna make babygirl sad by bringing up her moms, but that crap doesn't sit right with me what so ever.
Eva and i talked about it a little, but every time we do i fell myself getting mad that's not the Kim i fell in love with 17 years ago, and it's killing me to know 1) she kept my kid from me
2) she had Leigh in a drug infested environment
3) Leigh has been gone almost a month and not one call or anything it's tugging at my life.
"Babe you coming to bed" Eva poked her head into the office
"In a minute" i mumbled reading babygirl's doctor form
"What you doing honey" she came fully in sitting on the edge of the desk
"Trying to find Kim to see what's going on with Leigh" i said not looking up
"Oh" she said lowly
"What's wrong babe" i left her chin
"Nothing am i the only one getting upset by this Kim character?" she asked
"A matter fact you aren't I'm trying to figure out who she had my kid with" my voice boom through the office it was making me livid.
"Calm down" Eva looked at me with concerned eyes

I was laying in bed hearing my dad pour his heart out to Eva explain everything to her about my moms. i couldn't take it so i just texted Michael to get my mind off of things

me: laying down doing nothing
Mikey:): bet you wished i was there huh?

with that i got up and went into the bathroom to take a picture for this child

i read his text before snapping the pic sending it to him, i went back into the room to sit a my desk moments later Chris Brown's up to you played letting me know it was him calling

"Yo you look so beautiful" i could tell he was smiling

"When you coming home" he asked
"Iono Mikey i really don't maybe when I'm done school" i told him

i talked with him some more before heading down stairs to my dad office, i can't take that he's stressing over me and my moms that's why i didn't wanna come in the first place.
"Hey honey' Eva smiled at me i love Eva i really did but tonight i wasn't in the mood it's like when your friends just got done talking about you behind your back but when you see them it's all good.. like no
"Hey babygirl" Nasir smiled
"Hey pops...." i said lowly
"Wassup with you" he asked i must say Nasir is catching on to me really fast
"Um nothing my friend is flying in tomorrow" i smiled a little thinking about Mikey
"Oh what's her name" he asked
"HI'S name is Michael" i corrected him
"Oh and where will Michael be staying" he looked at me
"At his Brooklyn house" i eyed him back
he nodded his head "You moms know about him" he asked
"Yes Nasir she did" i said getting upset like it's not like were dating and in fact my mom knows and adore Mikey, and his family
"No need to get mad Kyleigh" he said looking at some paper it was getting pretty old with him and looking at paper work antics we all know he ain't no businessman, so iono who he fooling maybe Eva but no this one. 
i crossed my arm about to walk out "So you mad and you leaving" he asked 
i rolled my eyes "I'm not mad I'm just going to go upstairs while you and Eva finish talking about me" 
His face was priceless "Leigh baby we were not talking about you" Eva jumped in 
"It doesn't matter tho" i walked out 
"Leigh.... Kyleigh" Nasir called out for me 
"What" i yelled about to go up the steps 
"Come here" his voice boomed 
i kissed my lips walking back to the office 
"Your my babygirl and I'm your pops i would never talk about you" he said looking at me for real    
"Rite' i said about to leave again
"You don't think so" he asked with his eyebrow raised
"I do" i nodded my head
he gave me a small smile i went back up stair FORGET MY LIFE

THE NEXT MORNING
i woke up around 7 to get ready and get Mikey i was beyond happy he was coming mainly because I've been all into my emotions lately, i feel like i don't have any friends i mean i do well at least i think i do but their into their own life right now and there's nothing wrong with that but i just need someone around me that knew me almost my whole life.
about an hour later i was waiting in the parking lot of the Ari port for Mikey. i his bright smile from a far, i jumped out the car wrapping my arms around his torso hugging him tight
"Dang Le you trying to kill me" he laughed
"No i just missed you" i began to cry
"Aww Le don't start crying those big auntie drake tears please" he picked my chin up
"I'm sorry" i smiled
"Don't be" he smiled hugging me again
he looked up at me car "Wow this you Le?" he asked
i rolled my eyes cause that's the reason i didn't want Nasir to buy me that car
"Yea" i said popping the trunk
he put his bag in and hopped in we went down to his Brooklyn apartment first, and then we will head to Nasir's house...
he got fresh up and took me out for breakfast while we caught up, we got back around 11. hear goes nothing......

Leigh and some dude walked in the house. i looked up at the kid looking into his eyes
"Morning sir" she reached out to shake my hand
"Hey so you the guy Leigh has been talking about" i shook his hand
"Yes sir" he smiled
i looked over a Meek who seemed to be doing the same as i trying to read this kid.
"How long you knew Leigh" i asked taking my seat again
"I've known her since the 2nd grade" he looked at me
the kid has really good eye contact i like that
"How did y'all meet?" i asked
"Um my mom worked with her mom and when um she found out about Ms. Graham she would pick Le up after school with me and cook dinner for us" he said looking at Leigh with said eyes normally she doesn't like that...
i realized that this kid really cared for her "Well you guys enjoy y'all time" i smiled at him which he returned "How long are you staying Mikey" Leigh asked he turned all his attention on her "Um about a month cause I'm thinking about going to school at NYC" he grinned
she jumped up and down "Get out right now are you for real" she smiled this is the most i found her happy.
"Yea i wanna be up here with you Le" he smiled at her

when he told me he was staying it felt like someone has gave me my freedom back
"Why you trying to go to my school" i asked flopping down on my bed
"Cause i wanna be with my Le" he smiled cutely
"Ain't nothing wrong with that" i smiled
I'm glad he came he gave me something old from my past that was pretty great...
"Thanks Mikey" i smiled
"For what" he asked confused
"For coming and being with me"

It’s been a week since I’ve started working and I must say that I am T.I.RED

When I come home from school I jet off to the dance center instead of going to my other job, then to snapback city with Graham.

After that it’s like 9 and it take me 20 minutes to get home, then if I have homework then I spending 1 to 2 hours doing that.

I’m just glad today is Saturday; I can sleep in late and walk around in my pj’s

Expect that my stupid phone keeps going off and I don’t know who it is.

“Hello” I said turning on my back

“Yo is this Kyleigh” a deep voice asked

“Yes who is this” I asked fully getting out of bed

Whoever it laughed “It’s Michael” when he said that I almost jumped out my skin

“Wassup bro” I asked jumping around

“Nothing just missing my best friend that all” he said a little sad

Mike was like my only best friend back home, he always looked out for me. We became very close once he found out about my moms, so him and his family helped me out but me being me I didn’t wanna take, but he made me  and I still thank him to this day.

“I’m sorry love” I stopped jumping heading into the bathroom

“Naa its cool just don’t ever scare me like that le” he sighed

“I know, but has my mom came looking for me” I asked kinda scared him he said no

“Yes like everywhere she’s worried sick” he spoke

It felt good to know she still cares for me, but that doesn’t make up for what she said or did.

“Le let me ask you something” mike asked

“Go head” I said grabbing the tooth paste putting the phone on speaker

“Where’d you go?”

“Well I went where my money could take me and at first that was Baltimore, but I meet my fa… one of my family members on that same plane and now I’m in BK with them” I answered his question I didn’t tell him about my pops yet because I know he’s going to come on the first thing smoking to bring me back home, and I don’t wanna go back to my old life.

“Oh so they taking care of you up there” he asked

I wiped my mouth grabbing the phone taking it off speaker pinching it between my shoulder and ear

“Yea I even got a job cause you know how I am” I said walking back into my room

“Yea I know I just wanted to know if my homie was right I tried calling and texting, but SOMEONE wouldn’t pick up” he yelled the someone part

I laughed a little “I’m sorry I just thought no one cared for me so I didn’t bother picking up” I said truthfully

“You know I love you girl” he laughed

“I do now” I smiled

“Ard love you le and text me every day if you don’t I’m coming to BK and body you” he laughed

“Love you too and I got you” and with that I hung up throwing my phone on the chair in front of my desk.

i looked around my bedroom, i wanted to chill with my dad right about now.

i went down stairs to Nasir office

"Dad"  i called out stopping dead inb my track looking at the view
"Morning" he smiled at me
"...Or afternoon" he laughed
"I was tired" i laughed taking a seat
"What are you doin today" he asked not looking up form some paper he was soo into them
"Um iono maybe chill out" i put my hand over my mouth
"Oh Graham and some of your other friends are out front waiting for you" he siad once again not looking up at me
"Why"
"They stopped by and it slipped my mind i just remebered" he laughed
"Yea cause your old" i got walking to the dorr
"Dont remind me"
i walked to the front door seeing them posted up on my car
"Wassup homes" Ronnie smiled
"Nuh but a thing" i laughed as he pulled me in for a hug
"Hey homies" i smiled at Julio and Graham before pulling Dai in for a hug
"Whar were you doing" she asked
"Nuh talking to my old man and my homie form back home"
"Oh thats wassup" Ron smiled
"You look tired" Julio laughed
"Thats only cause i am i feel like death"
"And you look like it" Dai teased
"Shut up it's only for the moment" i stuck my bottom lip out like a little kid
"Anyway.... what are we doing today?" Graham asked
"Iono but i need to go change" i laughed
"Ard hurry up" he yelled
"Yall don't wanna come in" Ron hopped off the car and ran to the door
"Yes it's cold out here"
i pushed opened the door soo the air can smack him in the face.
everybody walked inside my room

"Make yourself at home imma take a fast shower"

 I did my regular routine far as cleaning myself, i picked out a simple outfit just cause that who i am. i put on a gray ymcmb sweater and some skinnies with some gray and white boots with  a beaine it's too cold out her for a pimp.

 

I walked back into my room with all eyes on me "What am i a t.v or something" i laughed
"Shut up" Dai laughed kissing her lips
"I love you too" i said grabbing my phone and key
we all went down stairs "Pops where's eva" i yelled
"Iono but if you leaving be back before 6 we're going to dinner' he yelled back
i kissed my lips "Ard Nasir"
"Sooo you mad now" he yelled laughing
"Man whatever go back to your work" i laughed before shutting the door behinde me
"Man your pops is cool" Ron pushed me
"Yea he ard" i said unlocking the car door
just then the front door swung open "You mad" pops walked over to me lefting me off the ground
"Old man put me down" i laughed
"You mad at your pops" he yelled
i just screamed "Tell your old man you not mad at him" he laughed holding me higher
"I'm not mad at you anymore" i yelled
"Huh what you say"
"Bro i'm not mad" i laughed
he put me down messing up my hat on my head "You need money" he asked
"Naa" i replied fixing my hat
"Yea right" he said digging into his pockets
"Pops" i siad lowly
"I know yall need money just put it on the card" he handed me the black card
"Fine if i take it will you go back in the house with those thick bottle glasses" i laughed
"A dont come for my glasses i looked good" he brushed his should
i just looked around "Rite"
"No but for real Mr. jones you are hot" dai laughed i looked at her crazy
"You think so" he smiled at her
"Dont feed his ego dai" i rolled my eyes
"She dont know what she talking about mr. jones you can pull" Ron laughed
"Oh really don't make me get eva on the phone" i raised one eyebrow
"No i love my baby" he grabbed my phone
i busted out laughing "I thought so" i grabbed it back

 I was up stair getting dress to take Leigh out to dinner I love this baby like she’s mine, I never thought I could ever love someone so much until I met this kids and her father, lately she’s been working non-stop with school and work.

I just really want to meet her mother I wanna know what person leave a child a lovely one at that, that makes me think about what kind of woman Nasir likes, put he’s not the point it about this baby.

I wanna be here for her, be the mother she never had hopefully she lets me and her father I wouldn’t mind spending the rest of my life with him… I’m happy where I’m at.
